Alexander's Election Code bill fails passage.

State Rep. Ernie Alexander’s bill, HB 729, failed passage. His bill would have allowed the central committees of certain political parties to appoint poll watchers in addition to those appointed by the various candidates.

In the lingo of US Senator Fritz Hollings, “There’s just too much monitorin’ goin’ on out dere.”

That said, I don't see the need for more poll watchers. Those appointed to watch for individual candidates are sufficient.
