The buzz about Paul Hurd is still buzz.

From Chad E. Rogers at The Dead Pelican:

MAY 03, 2007

THE DEAD PELICAN has learned that Monroe real-estate lawyer Paul Loy Hurd has been approached about running against Charles Foti for the Louisiana State Attorney General's position. Paul Hurd is currently on the Louisiana State Republican central committee [sic] author of THE CONSTITUTIONAL SOLUTION: LOUISIANA'S GOVERNMENTAL CESSPOOL. The book is a detailed outline of what Hurd Believes to be Louisiana's laundry list of problems, and potential solutions.

Between 1991 and 1996 Hurd laid aside congressional districts as racial gerrymanders (Louisiana, Texas and Virginia). Louisiana Life Magazine once listed Hurd as one of Louisiana's 20 most influential people.

Hurd refused to comment on the rumor when approached by THE DEAD PELICAN.
