Pricey, but hey.

From Louisiana News Link, via The Dead Pelican:

New Frontrunner- Senator Fred Thompson Coming To Louisiana July 18th!

Fred Dalton Thompson, the former United States Senator from Tennessee who is officially exploring a run for the Republican presidential nomination, will visit Louisiana on July 18th. He is expected to formally announce his candidacy soon.

Fred is a fiscal conservative who has been critical of the Washington, DC establishment and the huge increase in federal spending during the past decade.

"People ask me why I left Washington; I said I longed for the realism and sincerity of Hollywood," Thompson has joked.

Thompson stars as Arthur Branch in NBC's "Law and Order." He also has had roles in two dozen motion pictures including "The Hunt for Red October."

Thompson, who has moved ahead of Rudy Giuliani in two recent national polls to become the new GOP frontrunner, will make a stop at the historic Hilton Capitol Center (the recently restored Capitol House Hotel) in Baton Rouge for a fundraiser.

The admission price is $2,300 per person, the maximum contribution allowed under Federal law.

Tickets to Thompson events have become some of the hottest political items in the country.
