Historical romance novelist, Kathleen Woodiwiss, born in Alexandria and a resident of Cheneyville, lost her battle with cancer, in a Minnesota hospital, on July 6, 2007. She was 68 years old.

Kathleen is one Republican who will be sorely missed.
